Hi Friends!

Guess what! This week I posted my 100th podcast episode!!! 🙂 It feels like kind of a big deal, and I’m so grateful that it just so happened to be an episode with a long-time friend of mine — that feels appropriate somehow.
In this week’s episode of The Concussion Coach Podcast, I got to interview ReNae Cox—a TBI survivor, my former piano teacher, and a living testament to the resilience of the human spirit. ReNae’s journey is raw, relatable, and filled with hard-won wisdom that could light the way for your own healing (or that of a loved one).
Here are some take aways from our conversation:
The emotional and cognitive challenges ReNae faced post-concussion—memory gaps, sensory overload, and the frustration of “simple” tasks feeling impossible.
Unexpected tools that moved her recovery forward: music, vision therapy, breathwork, and even HIIT (yes, really!).
How her faith and marriage deepened through the struggle—proof that connection fuels healing.
Keep believing in progress,
Bethany Lewis
