Bouncing Forward

  • by

Happy New Year!

I wanted to share an insight that my friend shared on the most recent episode of The Concussion Coach Podcast. Alyson Lim is an 18-year-old student from Singapore who experienced a concussion when she was 15, and has spent the last few years adjusting to that unexpected challenge.

She shared the concept of “bouncing forward.” We tend to talk about trying to bounce back from an injury, but bouncing forward implies forward momentum and progression after a setback. This is absolutely possible, and this mindset shift from wanting to return to how things were previously to looking forward to what could be possible in the future is so beautiful and hope-filling.

I hope you get a chance to listen to Alyson’s story of resilience, positivity, and growth. She’s wise beyond her years.

Cheers,
